Solidarity in the face of disasters in the Greater Caribbean

The force of nature has once again impacted the Caribbean islands, leaving death and destruction behind them. Irma, with the maximum categories that a hurricane can reach, moved through all the territories of the West Indian border, with a devastating intensity. The images we have seen must make us think of the threatening dangers of an increasingly intense global warming process that is lamentable for human lives and environmental environments in the region. In its movement, it crossed the Strait of Florida, from the north of Cuba, and also penetrated by the west coast of the Floridian peninsula, devastating everything in its passage, until to penetrate in American territory, to deteriorate its force and to weaken definitively. Jose, following Irma’s step, but turning northward, affected territories of the small Antilles that still did not recover from the passage of the first great hurricane. While in southern Mexico, an earthquake unprecedented in a hundred years, has brought regret for numerous human losses, in emblematic cities of the country. The CSA expresses its support to all the relatives of the lives lost during these climatic events, and their solidarity in the reconstruction processes that lie ahead.

Solidarité face aux catastrophes dans la Grande Caraïbe

La force de la nature a de nouveau une incidence sur les îles des Caraïbes, laissant la mort et la destruction derrière elles. Irma, avec les catégories maximales qu’un ouragan peut atteindre, a traversé tous les territoires de la frontière des Antilles, avec une intensité dévastatrice. Les images que nous avons vues doivent nous faire penser aux dangers menaçants d’un processus de réchauffement planétaire de plus en plus intense qui est lamentable pour les vies humaines et les environnements environnementaux dans la région. Dans son mouvement, il a traversé le détroit de Floride, du nord de Cuba, et a pénétré par la côte ouest de la péninsule floridienne, dévastant tout dans son passage, jusqu’à pénétrer sur le territoire américain, détériorer sa force et s’affaiblir définitivement. Jose, après l’étape d’Irma, mais tournant vers le nord, a affecté les territoires des petites Antilles qui ne se sont toujours pas retrouvés du passage du premier grand ouragan. Alors que dans le sud du Mexique, un tremblement de terre sans précédent dans cent ans, a regretté de nombreuses pertes humaines, dans les villes emblématiques du pays. Le CSA exprime son soutien à tous les proches des vies perdues au cours de ces événements climatiques et à leur solidarité dans les processus de reconstruction qui s’annoncent.

La solidaridad ante los desastres en el Gran Caribe

La fuerza de la naturaleza ha impactado otra vez las islas del Caribe dejando a su paso muerte y destrucción. Irma, con las categorías máximas que un huracán puede alcanzar, se desplazó por todos los territorios del borde norte antillano, con una intensidad arrasadora. Las imágenes que hemos visto nos deben hacer pensar en los peligros amenazantes de un proceso cada vez más intenso de calentamiento global que se hace lamentable para las vidas humanas y los entornos ambientales de la región. En su movimiento, atravesó el Estrecho de la Florida, desde el norte de Cuba, y penetró también por la costa oeste de la península floridana, devastando todo a su paso, hasta adentrarse en territorio estadounidense, deteriorar su fuerza y debilitarse definitivamente. José, siguiendo el paso de Irma, pero desviándose hacia el norte, afectó a territorios de las pequeñas Antillas que aún no se recuperaban del paso del primer gran huracán. Mientras en el sur de México, un terremoto sin precedentes en cien años, ha traído el pesar por numerosas pérdidas humanas, en ciudades emblemáticas del país. La CSA expresa su apoyo  a todos los familiares de las vidas perdidas durante estos eventos climáticos, y su solidaridad en los procesos de reconstrucción que tenemos por delante.
