Caribbean Studies Association 45th Annual Conference
Georgetown, Guyana, 1 to 5 June 2020
Members of the CSA who have published books between 2019 and 2020 and who will attend the 2020 conference are invited to participate in the Author Celebration, a highlight of the annual conference. Our plan is to hold, if necessary, a number of author celebrations throughout the week of the conference that will not only celebrate our colleagues’ publishing achievements, but ensure maximum publicity for individual authors.
A few things to be kept in mind:
Your book must be presented by a colleague. You cannot introduce your own book. If you have a book that you would like to have presented, please upload your information to the CSA portal. Include your name, affiliation, book title, scanned image of the front cover, publisher and publication date, and the name and contact information of the colleague who has agreed to introduce your book. Please note that this information will be printed in the conference program once we have confirmed with you and your presenter. If you later find that you as the author cannot be present at the conference to participate in the Author Celebration please let us know so that we can remove your name from the program. In addition, if your presenter is unable to attend, please choose another presenter and inform us in time to change the program.
Presenters must be aware that because of time constraints, only 5-7 minutes (or even less, if need be) will be allotted to introduce each book!
We also ask authors to bring one copy of their book for the CSA Executive Board to donate to a local library at the end of the conference.
If you intend to participate in the Author Celebration, please submit your information via the CSA Portal by March 30, 2020 at 5:00 pm CST. If you have any questions, please contact the following committee members.
