Socare Award – Open Call 2023
Since 2019, Socare e.V. has offered a biannual prize for dissertations in the field of Caribbean Studies in the social sciences, humanities, or cultural studies. The aim is to promote early-career researchers.

ALAA Annual Afro Latin American/Afro-Latinx Essay Prize
For the Feb. 2024 Award, we will evaluate articles that meet the following criteria:
- Publication date Sept. 1, 2022 - Aug. 31, 2023.
- Essays may be written in English, Spanish, or Portuguese.
