XIV International Meeting of Economists on Globalization and Development Problems
The XIV International Meeting of Economists on Globalization and Development Problems will be held in Havana from November 14 to 17 of this year, convened by the National Association of Economists and Accountants of Cuba (ANEC) and the Association of Economists of Latin America and the Caribbean (AEALC).
The previous meetings, which have been held since 1999, have been characterized by bringing together researchers, academics and professionals in the economic and social sciences to discuss the economic problems that most affect our contemporary world.
Our meetings have been honored by Nobel Prize winners in Economics such as: Robert Solow, Joseph Stiglitz, Robert Mundell, James Heckman, Edmund Phelps, Daniel Mc. Fadden, Reinhard Selten, Erick Maskin, Robert Engle, Nobel Peace Prize winner Adolfo Pérez Esquivel and other prestigious personalities.
The main regional and multilateral organizations have also been present, including ECLAC, the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank and the International Monetary Fund.
