The Departments of African American Studies and English at Yale University seek to hire a scholar of Anglophone Caribbean literatures in a tenured appointment at the rank of Associate or Full Professor, as commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications. The appointment will carry full membership in both departments. Field specialization may include candidates whose work places Anglophone Caribbean literatures in comparative relation to other Caribbean literatures and cultures, to the broader Black Diaspora, to the US, and/or to other global literary traditions. Duties include teaching and advising at both undergraduate and graduate levels, including service contributions to Yale University’s Joint PhD Program in African American Studies and English.
