Critical Caribbean Perspectives on Preventing Gender-based Violence book coverDr. Ramona Biholar and Dr. Dacia L. Leslie are thrilled to announce that their co-edited book “Critical Caribbean Perspectives on Preventing Gender-based Violence”, published by Routledge, is now out in soft and hard copy all across the world.

The book is the output of a cross-campus collaboration between Dr. Biholar, The UWI MonaLaw and Dr. Leslie, SALISES Crime Prevention and Offender Management Research Cluster and it involved a dynamic team of Caribbean researchers and practitioners, namely Prof. Emerita Barbara Bailey, Senator Floyd Morris (Mona Campus), Deputy Dean Tracy Robinson (Mona Campus), Dr. Anna Perkins (UWI Regional Headquarters), Dr. Dalea Bean (UWI Regional Headquarters), Dr. Janeille Mathews (Cave Hill Campus), Karen Andrea Philip (Cave Hill Campus), Dr. Godfrey St. Bernard (St. Augustine Campus), Shivana Chankar (St. Augustine Campus), Safia King (St. Augustine Campus), Anika Gray (formally Mona Campus; currently Harvard School of Law), Prof. Marvin Sterling (Indiana University).

The book is of interest to researchers and practitioners working on issues related to gender, GBV, feminism, the Caribbean, global development, criminology, and human rights.
