The Department of Romance Languages and Literatures invites applications for a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin in fall 2017. We are looking for a modernist (20th century and contemporary literature and culture; francophone) who is also a strong generalist and who has interest or expertise in one of the following fields: media studies, digital humanities, translation studies. Native to near native proficiency in French and English is essential. Ideally the candidate will have experience teaching literature and culture at the university level and has PHD in hand at time of hire. The teaching load is two courses per semester at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels.
