The Caribbean is a historically rich and culturally diverse region shaped by centuries of migration, colonial legacies, and global exchanges. Insular and continental territories alike have been sites of cultural convergence, negotiation, and sometimes, conflict. In the contemporary world, these dynamics extend beyond geographic borders into the diasporic spaces where Caribbean communities continue to shape and redefine their identities.

Intercultural mediation—the process of facilitating dialogue and understanding across cultural differences—plays a crucial role in these contexts. From legal and diplomatic negotiations to artistic expression, linguistic translation, and social integration, mediation takes various forms that reflect the complexities of Caribbean societies. However, existing studies on intercultural mediation often overlook the specificity of the Caribbean’s historical and socio-political realities, its creolized cultures, and its diasporic experiences.

This call for articles seeks to explore intercultural mediation in Caribbean territories (both insular and continental) and their diasporic extensions through a multidisciplinary lens. We welcome scholarly articles, case studies, creative pieces, personal reflections, and book reviews from fields such as history, sociology, anthropology, political science, human rights, environmental activism, community development, diplomacy & international relations, healthcare, social & pastoral work, spirituality, holistic care, linguistics, translation & interpreting, literature, legal studies, communication, psychotherapy, education, project management, hospitality & tourism, sports, and the arts.
